What would anyone say about my Sophora? Is it worth leaving it in to see if it produces any new growth please? Geranium - I have a small leaved Sophora and all the leaves have gone but the wood still looks green - i am keeping my fingers crossed

Mine is looking sad too. I do have it in a pot and I brought it in during the coldest nights. I haven't given up hope yet.

I wonder how much loss nurseries have ?
I've just received an order from Beth Chatto and 3 items were 'not available' and i guessed that this was quite likely to be due to winter losses. It made me realise that they too will have incurred larger losses than normal during these past 2 'harder winters', which must be difficult for them all.

I think I have lost my Myrtle but I will wait a while just in case it recovers in the spring.

Yes, Cowslip - mine's a variegated one, and it has dropped a lot of its leaves. I'm not giving up on it yet, either.

Awww.....thats a shame Esther...you'll have to go and buy another one!! I'm the same Peony my potted one has lived outside for its 16 years and is in bud. My "Bloodgood" is starting to show signs of life too. Our frosts must not have been so penetrating as yours Esther....one of the advantages of living on the coast
