the weather just too bad to get outside today but I did settle in the greenhouse sowing seeds. aster red ribbon, cosmos picotee, cornflowers, dahlia [bedding ones], ageratum, sweetpeas, snap dragons and annual nightscented phlox, night scented stock. then seed from old friends verbena hastata 'white spires', Geranium 'Buxton something cant remember the name Penstemmon sensations and Clematis tangutica Still have beans and cabbages to do later this month.

bought for £5 3 springs ago. It is in a large pot and doing well. Dont know which one it is though.

this is a closer more focused flower. I have now idea which variety it is. if you do, do tell. This is Helleborus foetida 'Wester Flisk'. It grew from a seedling given by a friend in the local HPS group. It will be about 5 yrs old now. It is planted under the beech tree and doing really well.
