Hey all, wanted to ask you something right quick Now that I finally have the space I need in the garden, I want to think about the style of greenhouse I am looking for. There are a few things I know, I want to have a lean-to style against a wall facing north. One I am currently looking at has a door in the center of the long side rather than at the end. I am considering about 6’wide and 10’ long, should give me enough space to do what I want. Now I wanted to run a few questions by you: How much ventilation do you think I need? I wanted to get a vent on each end and two roof vents What do I use for heat? I might have limited frosts and I will be growing seeds (these are the primary reason for the greenhouse) What type of expenses am I going to have to deal with and is there anything that I should consider now so I do not end up kicking myself in about twelve months? Thanks! Has anyone bought from www.gardencentredirect.co.uk ?

Keller, when you buy the greenhouse you should have the suitable roof vents included as standard. I would suggest, though, that you fit a louvre vent low down in one end of the building. This will give you good air circulation. As for heating, if you have limited frosts then I would Say you could probably get away with using bubble insulation and a frost free heater. Also, if you leave the bubble up throughout the year it will also act as shading in the summer.

Can you get electricity into the site for the greenhouse? You won't regret it. Electric heaters are on thermostats, and you could branch out into getting a heated propagator when funds allow.
