A few of you already know I am downsizing down on the allotment garden. It is huuuuuuuuuge and its time I gave half of it up. I have a row of raspberry canes that are throwing up babies, which I plan to dig up and move to my smaller plot. The area I have planned is in a light/medium shaded area....will they ripen ok here?

Raspberry will grow in light shade, but the yield will be reduced. But is better than nothing Lou.

Like tomatoes, I believe Raspberries need heat to ripen, rather than light. As long as the canes get some sunlight during the day they will be fine.

Just wondering, how did your raspberries do now you're 6 months or so on?
