I've seen the first light on a lamp post in Nottingham this morning. Boots has it's Christmas gift catalogue out, and I've seen the first Christmas advert on tv for a furniture retailer tonight, advertising delivery before the big day. The countdown is in full swing now.

There is a family which lives a 5 minute walk away, who celebrate Christmas all through the year. Their decorations are up all year and they have Christmas dinner every Sunday.

No plans yet - we might go to our daughter's again, but I'd be quite happy to be at home by ourselves.
