Can anyone suggest a good cherry tree for the north of England a good eater if one exists? It's for my girlfriends birthday!

Stella is a frost hardy one, plus it is self pollinating, so only one tree required.

That was lucky tel didn't see this reply so just went and got a tree and it just so happens it's a Stella!

Good luck Mark, we had a cherry cordon about 2 years ago, it was going great guns full of blossom and fruit forming came out one day and it had died just like that, several died that year and they don't know why, that's why I said good luck
