Some weeks ago I got given two whacking big pinecones - over 5 inches tall. Since we've had the heating on and they're all opened up, I've got some whacking big seeds too! Does anyone know what they are and if there's any chance of the seeds growing? I imagine they might need some special treatment.
They came from a local friend, the tree they came from was given to her by my Mum-in-law in memory of a son she lost, and it must be about 15years old or so, but that's all I know... said Mum-in-law doesn't know what the tree is either! I think the pine cones are amazing. Included a normal small cone to give you an idea of size.
