Seeing December is rapidly approaching I thought you might like my recipe for mince pies Just make your pasrty as usual. Fill with your favourite mince meat and then top with this mixture.. 50g of brown sugar, like muscavado. 50g chopped nuts. 50g soft butter 25g plain flour As much cinnamon or mixed spice as you like. Blitz everything except the nuts in a food processor, or rub it all together by hand. Add the nuts and pile onto your mince pies, the bake as usual. The amounts are pretty rough as I usually just bung in an amount that looks right It should top at least 12 pies depending on how much you pile on top

sounds nice rosie . I`m into making Christmas pressies this year, so far only the pickled beetroot has been a success , the sweets ( as in nut brittle, jellies and coconut ice were a disaster and binned ) I hadn`t though of mince pies and I have somne lovely cellophane bags .....will let you know if they go well
