The sorbarias don't like windy gardens though, that was the reason i gave mine away - the winds make their leaves frazzle and shrivel up Mine always looked brown and wizened

I bought a small one from the car boot on sunday (50p). I did a quick search on the internet to find where it likes to live and this forum was No.6 on the search page.

I have noticed when i google looking for dahlias, or anything to do with them, our forum comes up on a regular basis now.

It's the colourful ferny foliage that tickled my fancy the walkabout doesn't bother me...I have a Rhus typhina ;D I know a garden where a Rhus travelled under the wall, pavement, crossed the road, under that pavement and came up in someone elses garden. The main reason I wont have one and several pther things as well. I'm struggling enough with snowberry. Wont have lilacs either because of their suckering tendencies.

:-/Noticed my S. Sem had babies and just pulled em up. The starlings having been having a field day pulling all the tips off for their nests......the cheek of it

I have five good sized 'Sem' shrubs to sell now - I just hope people won't be put off by their walking habit. However, it's still only one that did it. The other two are as good as gold.
