Thanks for the welcome markymate, have been dahlia growing a while now, have been looking at forum for a few weeks and enjoyed it am from Lancashire.

Will take some of the pot tubers out of their pots tomorrow and clean them up.

Ha ha ste b! I grow 'Garden Friends', 'Birkenshaw Pudsey' or any freebies offered. I tried to grow some show varieties properly in years gone past, but got left behind. However, I can't now grow a bad variety so that is one thing I have learned. I am now a dahlia snob.
