Well, I guess I'm lucky in that sense daitheplant; my tools are pretty much limited to lightweight stuff like hand trowels and the like, which are either in the little drawer unit in the polytunnel, or (more likely) hanging overhead. Thats my "online storage" .. e.g. immediately at hand.
As it happens, I HAVE filled up one of the new bins with all my various composty type bags (mulch etc), and that is RIGHT outside the polytunnel door. ("near-line" storage... so I can pop out and get it without getting wet if its raining etc).
And yes... the plantpots, seed trays, gravel trays etc. Trouble is, there are so many of them, and different sizes. Previously I kept a selection of them in the 'tunnel, along with potting compost etc, so that EVERYTHING was at hand for 90% of operations. But no longer - I have stripped the polytunnel of ALL of that luxury to make space for more growing. (I've even removed the kettle !!! ... see next post, when I get around to writing it).
But isn't it amazing the clutter we build up ? I mean... there are all the metal poles from previous greenhouses, which I don't want to throw away 'cos they make useful growing poles (a substitute for canes). And then there's that roll of insulation material from the old DIY propagator - thats BOUND to come in useful for protecting pots from frost. And the Potato Harvesting Tarpuaulin. And the bag of straw. And the mains extension cables. And those off-cuts of hosepipe are JUST the thing for next seasons potato-bin Linear Watering System ... (an as-yet unrealised concept that I am REALLY looking forwards to building).
I don't possess a hedge on the Roofgarden. Will SOMEBODY please tell me, in the name of Odin's Undergarments, why I am currently storing TWO electric hedge trimmers ? (one mains, one battery).
And thus it goes. I'm sure this is a familiar story.
(opens garden bin and peers inside)
Hmmmm......
I guess.... If I'm going to be really brutal and disciplined... I don't really need BOTH piano's ?
