A Very Special Delivery

	The owls are VERY excited today !
	A VERY special package arrived last week !
	It's from Moonlight !!!! !
	I wonder what's inside ?
	Sorry Owls, but I don't that that's owlseed ?
	Spangly Christmas Dahlia Tubers. !Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

I now realise that the owls were already incumbent in the polytunnel and the 'bed' they are sitting on, is a pressie of some dahlia tubers.... my brain did not decipher those photos very well, did it?

Depends on the time or the direction that the wind is blowing in. I do have a (very annoying / frustrating) habit of starting something and not finishing.

And with that chucklesome thought, we bring the Blog - like 2015 - to a close.

It's been a roller-coaster of a year in the Roofgarden.
We had a new polytunnel... which blew away.
We had the Polytunnel Rebooted - which didn't. And was drier to boot !

I grew my first ever Strawberries, and my first ever peas. (all 24 of them).

Things that worked in the Roofgarden:
Capsicums
Carrots
Courgettes (see notes below).
French Marigolds
Lettuce
Mini Cyclomen
Onions (from sets, not from seeds)
Radishes
Sage
Spinache (STILL pulling leaves off it)
Spring onions
Spudlinks
Strawberries
Thyme
Lavender

Things that didn't work
Brussel Sprouts (the sprouts are the size of peas, and many of them have 'burst').
Courgetes (I learned that you can't "trick" them into extending the production season just by sowing them early/late. Also, very few courgettes per plant... polination issue ? )
Leeks (all crowded and thin)
Peas. Well... they WORKED ... but there wheren't many of them !
Petunias (they grew just fine, but only AFTERWARDS did I discover that they do NOT attract polinating insects, which is what I had intended)
Runner Beans (no polination)
Rocket. How can ANYONE fail with rocket ? Dunno... but I succeeded!
Tomatoes (got some , but not many)

Other Stuff
The Flower Shower growhouse. (thanks SueA)
Lots more standing units from a sale at Morrisons
The home-made heated propagators
Various gadgets, including the mains timers (propagator), combined timer/thermostat (fan heater), temperature datalogger (for all sorts of things), and the growlight.
Bubblewrap insulation.
Garden storage bins.
Wilko's cheapo garden waste bins as water butts.

Wow... quite a crowded 2015. What will we get up to in 2016 ?

Thank you for all your help and support in 2015. Without you lot, I doubt I would have carried on after the polytunnel blew away last January.

So... that's this blog complete, and closed.

There will be a new one started for 2016.
