Been a long time since I was here, but thought a new year, new start. Far too much has gone on, so I will start with a new page. Much of the garden was wrecked in the gales last winter, so I've been putting up new fences and having a good clear out of plants, still some trellis to put back and more fencing to replace, but I hope this year it will get finished.

thanks everyone, it's going to take a while to catch up on what's been going on, nice to be back Yes Lou, still the same problems , I'm putting in concrete posts now, hopefully that will sort it out. Now a grandmother of 2, the latest was born in November. My youngest is backpacking in Australia, at the moment in Perth and loving it

I've already said welcome back, grindle - I do empathise with you about the wind (Gonzalo) - my garden was wrecked as well. It's been awful trying to restore order. Did you know I am a GREAT grandmother three times over? I feel about a hundred when I tell people that.

that wind certainly did so much damage my poor Azara is holding on by its root tips, I really don't want to lose it, but even staking isn't quite working, but I won't give in just yet. That's some achievement 3 great grandchildren, I'm going to have a long way to catch you up, I think by the time mine are ready I'll be six foot under
