Thoroughly fed up with computers. It takes around 45 minutes from the time I press the on switch for me to actually access anything. if it was a garden tool I would ditch it and get a new one but as i can't afford a new computer and the internet is crap in this part of the world anyway I think i will give in gracefully and resign myself to less stressful activities so if you don't hear me for a while you know why. My tablet computer is fine when it works but again problems with a message right across the screen which cannot be moved by me which has meant several trips into town to the 3 shop to get it sorted. apparently a problem with Windoze and have to change browser from IE to something else. i can access everything ok usually but it is a nuisance to post anything as it is only a touch keyboard like a mobile phone. looks like I will be an infrequent visitor from now on. Oh all right, you can celebrate put the flags up etc. Back when/if things improve.

Haven't really gone away. Tucked up in the old scratcher with my 'tablet' which is working again!! Dai, this is running windoze 8.1 or at least it was until I downloaded Firefox so will see what happens from now on. Don't know any 15year olds but my 14 year old grandson would sort it in an instant. Ps still no snowdrops in flower, just daffodils and now the plants that cherry sent me yonks ago. Name of which escapes me atm. Very embarrassing but no doubt will come to mind as soon as I turn this off.

Computers are wonderful when they're working, but totally frustrating when something goes wrong. You have my sympathy, sweetpea.

I've had a lot of trouble with mine today. It decided to stop altogether. Why ? I don't know. So I switched it all off, even the plug, and then back on again ... and now it seems all right again.
The tv is annoying too. It takes ages to come on. I get messages saying 'Waking Up' and 'Nearly Ready' etc. The old fashioned ones came on straight away. Not that there's much worth looking at on it anyway

I have Windows 8.1 on my laptop, so I use my desktop which has Windows XP. Also, I too am using Firefox on here.
