Ruby small decorative, is producing cuttings faster than Ruskin Respectable. She is a floozy though. ;D

It was Ruby which I accidentally left outside which succumbed to the weather. I put on the 'what have you done' thread last week that my favourite dahlia was mush. Well this was the variety. I have the others in the propagator to give them some heat and I will hopefully get cuttings. They are all nice varieties.

Mine are still teeny, but I have not put them in a heated propagator (mine are full of seeds atm) Once the seeds have germinated the tubers can go in there....

Tel,
If you have plenty of early stock of Ruby, I wouldn't mind a few if you think you are likely to have enough ?

Seeing these, I am already looking forward to their flowering. I'm happy to wait for the fantastic summer we will get though first!

Is it right that the hollow ones will not root? I took a dozen cuttings today (one was hallow)

Thats right WF.....just throw away the hollow stemmed one. Even if it did root, it won't make a good quality plant

Oops, to late, I couldn't throw it away so I potted it. I have no idea which one of the six it was now. It wasn't one of the ones for you so that's OK, it was a 'sunshine'.
