Would anyone be interested in swapping with me? I would be interested in some seeds of Parsley, Coriander, Basil, Thyme, Mint - these are mainly for soups and sauces. I'm not sure if any others are good for soups and sauces so those are the only ones I can think of at the moment.
In return I could offer you some:
Chilli (Jalepeno, Cayenne, Serrano) Pepper (Big Red, Sweet) Arctic King Lettuce Cabbage Broccoli Red Amposta Onion
If you're interested, just let me know Thanks

KC.... the mint would be easier to grow from a piece of root, and keep it in a self-contained planter, about a foot across, replanting some of it every other year.
This way, my parents and now my sisters and I, have propagated an old mint variety that came from a pre war cottage garden.
I keep two pots going, so that only one is rejuvenated each year. This variety has smooth leaves and tastes nicer than Brindles Mint, which is what is used in jars of Fresh Mint Sauce.
Not sure now to send you a bit of root, though?
Dianthus.

Sounds good Dianthus. I don't know anyone locally who I could get a bit of mint off. I plant everything in planters, so there's no risk of it totally taking over everything. I'm not sure if a mint root would survive out postal system? :S lol

I only have one mint plant but could send a snip in the summer if the seeds don`t do well . there are many varities of mint , it would be nice to have a few different ones see here : pantrygardenherbs.com/shop-for-organic-herbs/mint-varieties/mint-about-the-different-varieties/

Ah that's smart how they've cut the ends off for seats. We're thinking of using tree stumps and keeping the reel a circle Good idea mind you thanks
