dianthus I love your avatar what is the variety ? It's a T&M picture of Dianthus Strawberry Cream, and, as I'm also a foodie, I thought it was a good choice. I did grow some years ago, though.

I grow some annuals and repot, each Spring, the begonias I grew from seed, three yrs ago.
I also had the wonderful honour of having some Early Marsh orchid seed blow in to the garden and take root amongst my chives and carnations. I have collected the seed to sow at my leisure.

Hi dianthus the usual welcome from me too. me not Welsh but live in Pembrokeshire. Bit different from the valleys I think. I doubt I could grow sweetpeas here, as too breezy. I also try to grow as much veg as I can, keeping flowers to tubs and the hanging baskets.
I thought I'd post some old pics of my two veg plots, just so you know I'm no market garden enterprise!

Thanks KC,
Rather enjoying my first couple of days here, tbh.
The rain showers are stopping me from gardening, so this is a good place to get help and tips.
I also make jam, so if anyone needs help on that score, give me a nudge. Several Taste awards amongst my old recipes, so strawberry, cherry and pineapple will behave, if you follow a few rules.

There's a recipe section on here dianthus, it would be lovely if you put some of your jam recipes on there.

Thanks for that, Sue.
What is all this repartee between Dai, sweetpea and Raymond?

Thanks for that, Sue. What is all this repartee between Dai, sweetpea and Raymond? Its a sticky subject but you wouldn't want to get stuck in a jam. Tbh It is just the way this forum is. Quite serious on some things and less so on others. Nobody takes umbrage, well apart from those that do and they've all gone?

No, I wouldn't, sweetpea. A burn from boiling jam can be rather painful.
How are you boys today?
@ Sue.... I can't find the recipe threads. Can you send me the link, please?
