Yesterday, I saw an Orange Tip.... I haven't seen one of those in the eight years I've lived here.

Forgot to say that I have set free six Small Tortoiseshells from the garage, as found them fluttering in the garage window.

I wouldn't know if I was looking at one of then or another skipper or a fritillary. Shame to say
I do miss seeing the beautiful sight of the Chalkhill Blue that were up on the Wye Downs. Orchids in the grass, butterflies above, and a panorama for over 30miles, including seeing the English Channel waters, sparkle in the sunshine, beyond St Marys Bay and Folkestone, in the distance.

Today I saw my first ever Orange Tip male and the white mottled female. They were pictured in the wildlife section of the Eastern Daily Press.

I should have added 'in my garden' Dianthus, but they didn't keep still long enough for a photo. I will be watching out for them, perhaps with the camera ready.
