That looks great sweetpea , very enticing for any little hedgies looking for a room! I moved the camera to see if I could find out what was happening to the frogs but last night I caught this little hedgehog who looks like he was going for a drink in the pond!

Good to hear peony , do you still have a couple at the same time, we kept only seeing one but recently we've seen 2 together, one large & one small, maybe mother & daughter/son.

Good to hear peony , do you still have a couple at the same time, we kept only seeing one but recently we've seen 2 together, one large & one small, maybe mother & daughter/son. We had one evening about 6 weeks ago when we saw three all feeding at the same time, two a similar size and one smaller, but for the last few weeks we are only seeing what I think is the smaller one but he/she comes every evening. A couple of weeks ago when I wasn't sleeping very well the security light came on at about 0300 and when I looked there was a fox eating some of the food and I wondered whether the fox might have frightened the other two away.

Could be peony , or maybe it's just that the smaller one has to fend for itself now & is busy eating more often on it's own to put weight on ready to hibernate, I think it's our smallest one caught on camera here by the pond. They had been setting the camera off at all hours of the night over the last couple of weeks & coming very early in the evening as though they are building themselves up.

I'm sure you're right SueA, OH and I both think the small one has got bigger over the past weeks and I'm finding plenty of broken snail shells as I tidy the borders so it should be big enough to hibernate when the time comes.

They might be around somewhere grindle ,you never know they could just be very sneaky! Here's photo of my hedgehog house, not a lovely bespoke homemade one like yours sweetpea , I just bought the box & have customised it with logs, a bit of basket fencing, ferns & leaves.

No takers yet though peony, I might have to lower the rent! I forgot you mentioned the badgers before grindle , I don't blame the hedgies for hiding.

I haven't seen our hedgies either for about a week lesley , it might just be that they're all hiding because of the fireworks or have started slowing down ready to hibernate & have had a better offer than our hedgehog house!
