The grow bag won't have a lot of peat in it joysie21. It is worth getting a bag of ericaceous compost. Why not do a soil test with a cheap testing kit from the garden centre.

Sorry Cherry, I am going to disagree with you. The grobag will be mostly peat and very little nutrient, so ideal for Azaleas.

Sorry joysie21. I can't argue with daitheplant because I haven't got my growbags yet to read the the label. Beautiful, blue, healthy, large hydrangeas grow well in your area and if they are very close to you, the soil would be acidic enough with the addition of a growbag.

Don't you worry about your spelling joysie21. daitheplant and all of us know exactly what you mean. By the way, are the fabulous blue hydrangeas close to you? My husband comes from North End and has a lot of relations in the area.
