Don't you worry about your spelling joysie21. daitheplant and all of us know exactly what you mean. By the way, are the fabulous blue hydrangeas close to you? My husband comes from North End and has a lot of relations in the area. He has relations in the area or relatives in the area Cherry?

I wondered what you meant for a few moments. Ha ha. He has a lot of relatives there and my youngest was baptised in the beautiful St.Mary's Church. Geoffrey was born in Inverness and baptised on the south coast. You have not guessed which city this is yet.

Pink hydrangeas suggest your soil is alkaline joysie21, so spoiling your azalea with ericaceous compost is a necessity. You could put it in a pot, but it does need quite a lot of watering. I grew a large camellia in Oxfordshire by putting pond liner into a dug out piece of ground and building this up with leafmould and ericaceous soil. Visitors were amazed to see it and I didn't tell them. It was Camellia 'Elegant Beauty' and had grown too big for its pot. I did plant it in a shady position and could use other plants needing the same conditions, like low growing Cornus Canadensis.

Please yourself joysie21. You have the right compost, so the azalea can go anywhere. In the garden in a semi-shaded position, or in a tub, again in semi-shade. Don't forget to water well, preferably with rainwater, but tapwater if you have to. You have bought some very nice plants and these will keep you busy. How are you enjoying your everlasting lawn?
