Read most of his books. Currently reading (when I can stop laughing) The Life and Times of The Thunderbolt Kid. Has to be one of the funniest books ever.

Bill Bryson lives in Norfolk and does quite a lot of good for the county. I have read a few of his books including Notes From a Small Island. I have not read the one you mentioned sweetpea, probably because I don't like the title, yet he is very readable.

Both real and imagined but made me laugh.

I read a couple of his books years ago & enjoyed them too, not read any of his more recent ones though, that one sounds as though it's good fun sweetpea!
