At the site this morning I did some preliminary work in our new wildlife garden. Firstly, I treated the Bindweed and Marestail with Glyphosate. I then marked out the pathway through the garden. This is looking down the garden from the entrance.  This will be a seating area.  Finally, this is looking up the site from the sitting area.  Will keep you all informed of it`s progress. |

The banks of the drain could be cleared and planted with Primulas. A lot of work is involved though.

I have sprayed halfway down the bank with the weedkiller Cherry. The top half will be planted with the likes of Lamium, Pachysandra, Flag Iris, Strawberries and Periwinkle.

I agree. Was hoping to do it tomorrow but had a text from the lady at the statue garden. They have a problem with the pond, so need to go and sort it.

Cut the path out today, despite the rain. " ![]() i58.tinypic.com/2eg4e1h.jpg" Waiting for the woodchip now to finish it. After that I set out posts and rails for the safety fence. Someone else will be installing the posts tomorrow as I am working. |

Backfilled the cut-out path with woodchip.  Hope to start the planting tomorrow. |

Today I started the planting. Several beds on the left have been done as has the bank. The secretary`s husband has hammered in the posts and will add the rails tomorrow. While he is doing that I hope to start building the bench for the sitting area.
