Interesting stuff SueA. The courtyard garden with the blue table and white kettle DOES look a little like KC 's handiwork, doesn't it ? (although perhaps a little sparten, by KC's standards ? )

The little courtyard gardens reminded me of you & KC roofgardener with the use of all sorts of different containers in a small area, they'd used big white pebbles in some of the pots to keep in the water which you'd been asking about, they look good but perhaps not very practical on your rooftop.

The little children who were there all seemed to be enjoying it, they used to have more sculptures carved from wood etc. but most of these seemed to have worn away, there was a wooden seat in the form of a hand but a finger & the thumb had dropped off. It's a shame because they will wear away but it would be nice if they could commission some new pieces. They have a good education centre & it gets kids out in the fresh air as well which can only be a good thing!

anything that encourages kids to connect with the outside and wildlife is a great thing, there should be more places like that around the country
