Well, its been just over 4 months since I started trying to get the garden into shape. Its the house where I grew up and I know there are a ton of plants, bulbs and roots lurking under the ground A quick tour in December:
Since then I have cut, slashed burned, dug and scratched away. Erected a couple of arches and stained the fences a luminous shade of red that is probably visible from space. Here are the results so far...
hanks for taking a look!

What a beautiful garden you have paullypaul. You have done a lot over the winter and spring and I like the memorial to your father. However, it is your garden and you have already made differences which suit your style. The fence will tone down in time.

July Update
Well, the dahlias have kicked off and I ordered a few extra ready for my new plot which has been delayed. Sill, they are filing the garden nicely

Stunning! Do have a look at the thread by pkbmum about her jungle clearance. Like you, she is not afraid of hard work and there is lots of advice on here. My computer skills are so inept that I can't add the link.
