I have been picking the flowers off the rocket for a couple of weeks, but the next row is still two weeks from being ready. Can I keep harvesting the rocket leaves? When is it considered to be past its best? I am using it still, but it is getting stronger in taste. I like it though.

I would stop using it when it starts getting "gritty" Cherry.

I think when it flowers it's considered past it's best Cherry but I love rocket with a strong flavour too, I like the wild rocket type best, I just stop picking it when the leaves start to get a bit chewy & leathery (yeuch!  ). |

Thank you both SueA and daitheplant. That makes sense, but I really was not sure. I like the wild rocket type best too, but the one planted is a mixed rocket. I should invest in a packet of seeds and buy the wild rocket instead of being so mean. |

Yes. Only once because I found it a bit boring. Are you saying land cress has the same effect? I will still try it, perhaps before I grow it.
