When Lily had her' gait test a few weeks ago the photos that were taken showed up the weak muscles - the Botox is going to firm these muscles up apparently.

I think you should feel good about it, because the doctors are really looking and they may have done this before. All the best to Lily. What a good girl.

I'm sure we are all wary of new procedures, but I'm sure they only have Lily's best interests at heart.

I know they don't just use Botox for cosmetic reasons, so I don't think you should be concerned. Think positive, Esther!

Many years ago there was a programme on a young girl in NI with cerabal palsy who was given botox to help her walk and it worked wonders, but It was only experimental, and they nver followed it up, I was interested because my 2 God daughters have CP, and have had many surgeries and are now both wheel chair bound. If botox can be used to prevent this then its a better use than trying to find eternal youth

Thankyou for posting poly telling me about your Goddaughters - I wish them well Lily has cebebral palsy but she can walk unaided now.She wears fibreglass splints round her ankles and feet. Because of the weakness in her legs she is inclined to walk on tippy toes which isn't good for her. I am apprehensive about the botox but if it helps her it has to be a good thing

I've heard of Botox being used to help people who suffer from excessive sweating too, it's amazing what they can use it for other than vanity isn't it. It sounds strange but hopefully it will help Lily, she's a lovely little girl Esther, best of luck to her for the treatment.
