I've not tried growing Agapanthus from seed joysie21, but think they should be left on the plant to ripen (anyone else know?) I suspect they will take many years to grow and flower. Perhaps one of the others has experience?

I have grown them from seed, but they are not as bad as you think. Yes Lou78W, as you said, it is far too early unless they are last year's seed heads which have not been out in the frost. I put them in the propagator in the autumn. Quite a fuss joysie21.

Not really joysie21. I grew them for fun and they worked, but life is too short to wait and find somewhere for seedlings over winter. They do not go straight out.

They do not go straight out. patience is a virtue Cherry I find it such a delight growing from seed, you get so many more plants . Sure some things take a long time, My cyclmans grown from seed three years ago havn`t flowered yet but they will eventually . I have several agapanthas grown from seed two years ago, just leaves yet no flowers maybe next year .
