My neighbour's Cherry is fruiting well, but the leaves at the tips of the branches are curled and the undersides of the leaves are covered in blackfly. It is a young established tree but the curled leaves have left it in a sorry state as they have advanced down the branches from the top. What can be done so that the fruit can be used? I think the fruit will have to be salvaged and then the tree sprayed with a systemic spray to reach under all the leaves.
There are small black caterpillar type creatures with an orange band which could be eating the aphids. What would these be?
