Well here we are again on the 12th August which is the peak time for seeing some spectacular meteors. Weather depending of course.
Popped out last night after the ITV news and within a couple of minutes saw 3 bright meteors.
Called Maureen out and she then saw a further two. Went back in after half hour or so as no more spotted but hope to see a few tonight especially as no moon to interfere.

Unfortunately I will be asleep before it happens. Would love to see them but my Fibro` dictates otherwise.

We had a look outside last night sweetpea & could see some stars as it was quite clear but didn't see any meteors, too much light in our road, some of the streetlights are blinding white ones! |

Shame about the streetlights SueA. just came in from a quick look outdoors. Mainly cloudy here but did see one bright meteor in the small area that was reasonably clear of cloud. |

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday so after a lovely meal we went and sat in the hills in the dark and watched out for them. It was quite overcast but with the odd break in the clouds we did manage to see a few. Amazing.

Belated Happy Anniversary KC , sounds like you had a good one. It was cloudy here last night so we didn't get the chance to see any kind of stars even if we could have avoided the streetlights. |
