I don't have any money invested in 'Hedge funds' but I managed to find £86 to replace my aging electric hedge cutter. It's a 24 volt one and you wear the battery around your waist. I'm quite excited about it as it's not only powerful but I won't need to stand on ladders. I've not tried it yet but I'll let you know how it performs.

I've got one of those. It is a lot lighter than my petrol one and the battery lasts as long as I need it too. There isn't a lot of difference between the power either. You'll love it. I don't want to make you sick but I picked mine up brand new and boxed at a car boot for £20

i have something similar merlin but petrol driven as I needed it for work. I must admit mine gets a bit heavy after using it for an hour or so. I still have to use steps on occasion even with the longer reach but they are a good investment. reckon WF got a bargain there.

So it's thumbs up then, can't wait to have a go. I planted a few Hawthorn cuttings/whips when I cut back the hedge and I note they're greening up. Strange how new plants are always well ahead of the mature. Won't be long now
