Did anyone make any particular New Years Resolutions last night/today ? I made a few: 1) Trust nature more, and stop trying to micro-manage it. 2) Stop fretting so much about condensation. (If necessary, wear a hat in the Polytunnel.) 3) Get Organised ! 4) Spend at least 15 minutes per day doing gardening stuff.

I have a few resolutions
Learn to drive
Stop smoking
Be more organised Be more tidy
Pay off the credit card Loose the weight I have regained since the summer about 1.5 stone Get fitter and healthier Do not buy plants unless prepared to plant out immediately. Think before I buy.
All achievable some easier than others !!
First thing apply for provisional driving license. Which I have been meaning to do for ages.

I'm like Rosie - the only resolution I've ever kept is the one when I decided not to make any more resolutions
But there are some things I would like to get on with ... I've got several boxes of old photos and documents relating to my family history, and I want to get them all labelled and put in order. I also want to get my pottery workshop back in working order, and I want to do more drawings/paintings. I also want to sort out the garden, and move several plants to a better situation, because it's all a jumble at the moment. And I want to extend one of my plant shelters to have more room for my Fuchsias and cacti because they're jostling with each other for room at the moment. The thing I'm DEFINATELY going to do is learn how the jet cleaning 'thing' works so that I can get the decking cleaned !
I may or may not get those things finished, but if I don't I'm not going to worry about it, - I'll just carry it over to 2017
As for being more tidy and organised, I've given up trying, and the same with thinking before I buy any plants - impossible !

... and the same with thinking before I buy any plants We're.. supposed to DO that ? Nobody told ME Well some people are able to do it, but I've got no intention of doing it. I shall continue to buy on impulse What about you ?

I'd forgot about resolutions too... hmmm.
That thing with 'thinking before you buy plants' - I'm going to try and do that with houseplants, if nothing else. I really don't have that much room indoors (and can't afford to tack a conservatory on our new place-to-be yet!) and it's a shame when you have to chuck them/put them somewhere they hate and look miserable because you've got no room.
I'd like to stress less (not sure that's likely with house move, etc!) and use my energy more efficiently so my health doesn't go up and down so badly. But is difficult to pace yourself on a nice sunny day in the garden!

What I will do with the
Thinking before I buy plants is research what I want for the place and then find it. I am sure I will buy on impulse but the big purchases like statement shrubs I need to be more selective and careful. I have a dozen nice plants still in there pots bought in 2015 not planted as I don't know where to put them !hahahaha

I think a resolution for me is if the year carries on the way it has begun, I'm cancelling it....
