Sefton reminds me of the National Gardens near Carmarthen.... forgot the exact location, but I very much enjoyed my walk through the dry tropical house.

I've just read in the paper that ducks are preferring kale to bread. Who knew! Lovely pictures

The RSPB & other wildlife organisations tell you not to feed bread to ducks as it's bad for them piskie so kale would be a good idea - wonder where the ducks are buying it from though! It wasn't stopping tiny tots with bags of bread throwing half a loaf at a time to the ducks in Liverpool- enough to give them concussion if they didn't 'duck'!

Thanks dianthus, we've never been there & it does look good, will have to try & get there either this year or maybe next if we don't get time this. We've been to the National Botanic Gardens in Wales that you mentioned, it was years ago when it hadn't been open very long so was still developing but the glasshouse was lovely.
