A week after doing the Harthope Valley I did a walk along the Ingram Valley (my personal favourite). From the car park we took the long road right up to the hamlet of Linhope and on up the gentle climb to Linhope Spout waterfall. After eating our sarnies we climbed further up to eventually drop down the other side into the southern end of Salters Road before climbing gently back out and rejoining the Ingram Valley road and the long trek back to the car.
The day started grey but look how it turned out after the half way point!

The wet path. Trouble is, we pretty much had to stick to it as off it were holes you could twist your ankle in.
Deliberating (and making the wrong decision)
Balvennie toast after dropping down the ridiculously steep slope on the other side (yes, we took a wrong turning and should have gone on further up to the more gentle drop down).
South end of Salters Road
We came down that (steeper than it looks with 500 ft drop)
Sun on our backs
The road out of Salters rises to this point looking east back down the Ingram Valley
Looking North to Hedgehope Hill, second highest in the Cheviots.
