Saw the first damselfly of the year here yesterday, a large red sitting soaking up the sun in the border.

Thanks grindle, I think it might be a couple of weeks earlier than usual Cherry, everything seems to have suddenly appeared in the last couple of days as though they've all been waiting for the sun.

It's very similar Roofy, you can tell the difference between dragonflies & damselflies by the way they hold their wings when they're at rest on something, dragonflies hold their wings out at about 90 degree angles to their bodies but damselflies hold their wings folded straight back along their bodies.
