Yesterday we had a real surprise as a stoat ran across the main road here in front of the car & disappeared into the grass verge. We were driving under the railway bridge & the slinky ginger flash with a dark tip on it's tail was heading for the embankment at the side of the road, we live in a town not a little village so it is unusual, but on the way out again later in the evening we realised what it was after - two little bunnies( again an unusual sight by the main road here) were sitting nibbling the grass where we'd seen it! Right next to it is a nursery where the children play out ( next to the road to get the full benefit of the fresh air! ), hope they don't witness 'rabbiticide' by the stoat one day!

I guess wherever there's rabbits one will appear, we quite often see them round here, but then I'm in the middle of nowhere
