I have a lovely orchid which has sticky mould on the leaves what can I use to get rid of it please also my ponsetia is getting leggy now the leaves have dropped off what shall i do with it now

It sounds like the orchid may have got a whitefly infestation.
You may need to replace the potting fibre, making sure you remove all the old stuff, check the anchor roots. If they have been eaten, you have your confirmation, so wash out the roots in cold tap water, snip away any damaged ones, wipe over the leaves with a damp cloth rung out with a little washing up liquid, to remove the sticky stuff, then wipe over again with plain water in the cloth.
Sanitise the pot and tray, and repot with fresh fibre, angling a few of the new, aerial roots downwards to help anchor the plant in the fresh mix.

Most people just throw them away joysie21 but you can keep them going, I've got one a friend gave me the Christmas before last & it is still covered with the lovely red bracts & I haven't done anything to it. You can cut them back about a third & give them a feed & just keep an eye on the watering & they do come back to life.
