Thank you SueA, I have just posted about the Wisteria, hopefully I can get some help :-) I have a grafted one, he's about 7 years old now, Iv'e had him for 3 yrs , so still a baby and no chance of flowering yet !! That's one of the reasons I bought the new one ( SO impatient lol ) The problem I'm having is to do with the pot I had to put it in.
jealous you grew one from from a tiny tree !! :-)

Welcome to the madhouse..sorry forum aeris73 Someone on here will be able to help with Bonsai, i don't habe a clue I'm afraid. I have a couple of Wisteria, one will go into the ground, the other I intend to train as a standard but they are only 3 years old so quite young yet.

Hello Aeris
I have a collection of Bonsai, I don't go in to it as technically as you can bending branches with wire and all that I simply cut the top growth to try and get a nice tree shape tap them out of the pot cut some of the root growth off put some fresh compost in and put them back in the same pot, I'm currently away at the moment but I'll try and post some pics when get back

Return forthwith and help our newbie with his bonsai dilemma, steve
Seriously, though, welcome to the forum, aeris73 , and I remember there was a spot of Gardeners' World about two years ago, at the home of the longest wisteria wall in Britain, so there may be a link to it, via Googly whotsit. I remember they gave good pruning advice.

I think I remember that too, was it a purple coloured one? Yes, but it wasn't in flower at the time as they were there to show pruning techniques and how to train it and keep it under control.

That is stunning isn't it dianthus, worrying though that the flowers often get killed off by spring frosts & she's had to wait all that time to see it in full bloom.
