Photos? I've always struggled to load pics to this site with Flickr, it's (Flickr, not the site!) a messy system and I dislike it - or maybe it's just PICINC (problem in chair, not in computer).

I just keep mine on my computer in 'Pictures' & also 'Picasa' ( I keep copies on a separate mobile drive device as well) & only use Tinypic or Photobucket to upload individual ones to this site depending on which of those two is behaving best at the time!

Just don't have the wine when you're drawing up your plans or actually planting the hedge piskie! You could always plant grapevines!

I've tried every which way and a few software options - but nothing, not a jot, will let me load pictures to this platform ... and I'm darn tech savvy

I don't have any problems with Tinypic at the moment, although it has an occasional off-day.
Do you have a slow internet and big photo files to upload? If so, you may need to 're-size' your photo files first, with 'Light Image Resizer' (free version) or similar. (Is fairly easy, drag and drop files, and choose a percent you want them made smaller by.) I used to have to do that, or it'd take ages to upload to Tinypic/Facebook, but the internet here is cracking.

Bess - no problems uploading, it's when I come to copy the link (no problems with that) and when I select the'insert picture' icon on the message task bar ... that's where it falls over. But it's only on this site and (it seems) only for me - so who knows

Piskie, when you fill out the little box (with the address of the picture, and any optional "alt" text) and click 'Insert Image', you SHOULD find that some gibberish like the below suddenly appears in your post.

Does this actually happen ?

piskie when you click the 'insert image' icon you have to delete the 'http:' which is already in the box before you copy paste. Also I don't know if it makes any difference but when I use tinypic I copy the 'Direct link for layouts' text not the one which says it's for forums etc.
