It's hard to beat Israeli technology!
TEL AVIV, Israel - The Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners. It's an armored booth you step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on your person
Israel sees this as a win-win situation for everyone, with none of this crap about racial profiling. It will also eliminate the costs of long and expensive trials.
You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter, an announcement: "Attention to all standby passengers, El Al is pleased to announce a seat available on flight 670 to London . Shalom!"

ROFL.. that's an old one... it never happened... but it may happen soon.
Meanwhile.. back in the late 1990's... the story goes that Shin Bet (Israeli internal secutity.. our version of MI5) managed to smuggle a "special" mobile phone into the hands of Yahya Ayyash, a senior bomb-maker for the HAMAS terrorist group.
Once Shin Bet was sure that Yahya... and ONLY Yahya ... was using the phone, Carmi Gillon (the Director General of Shin Bet), called the phone, and when Yahya answered, said "This is Carmi... listen carefully... ".
And then he pushed the "hash" key, and the explosives the the "special phone" exploded, and Yahya went to meet Allah.

If Shin Bet had a brain between them they would have waited for him to have a conference call.
