Hi everyone I am a new member and your forum was recommended to me, I am just starting to prepare and grow veggies in a pretty dry area of Southern Spain and would like to share advice and opinions, anything will be most welcome

A warm welcome, Oh Fooxxy one ! You may want to consider opening up a thread in the Gardeners Clinic area, or possibly even in the Greenhouse area. (there is already a similar thread by a person called erani there ). Alternatively, I already started a post here , which you could extend ? And don't forget to say hello to the Owls !

Fraid not roofgardener and desertfooxx. I'm in the coldest part of the UK, north east Scotland,I live near a place called Dufftown(Yes, it's an awful name ) 19 miles from Elgin on the Moray coast.

I'm in the coldest part of the UK, north east Scotland,I live near a place called Dufftown(Yes, it's an awful name ) 19 miles from Elgin on the Moray coast. the coldest I have ever been in the UK rosie was actually in Dartmoor during the winter 1962/3 and a close second was East Kilbride brrrr!. oh and welcome Rommel sorry desertfooxxOnly ever been to Madrid in Spain but I'm sure you can grow some Mediterranian stuff like olives, oranges, melons, chillies, tomatoes, and lots of other things.

Wow! Hope youll have a good planting time. Theres a lot of experts here. They were all my inspiration when i was planning to grow my own garden. And its almost a year, and i got all i need in my garden.
