It's probably something to do with the weather grindle it looks like it's had a few spurts of growth & is reaching up towards the light? With luck you might get another flower on it, the lupins I've got in pots by the house all died completely down but now have new foliage on.

It will get older and eventually die, always happens you know.

Not seen this with lupins but had something similar with tomatoes once. long time ago so can't remember the details.

I'll get around to it eventually
