Hiya folks,
Does anyone know of an "animal-friendly" lawn treatment for suppressing weeds and moss, and promoting grass growth ?
The eponymous "Weed n' Feed" is apparently toxic to things like squirrels and cats ? (and possibly birds ?? )

A lng time ago I asked Levington about this and was told keep your cats off the grass until it was waterd in either by rain or hose. I no longer use it and even have a box in the shed which I have to dispose of. To feed I would use phostrogen but the weeds mostly daisies and dandelions I take out by hand. I know...its a job and a half

All I do is admire the daisies/dandelions & clover until I mow them & rake out the moss every so often with a spring-tined type rake. I also go over the lawn spiking it with a fork to aerate it, I'm planning on doing that soon & brush a bit of sand into the holes to aid drainage, I don't like using any sort of chemicals.

I'm a bit like Sue just take the weeds as part of the grass

Hmm... the problem is... with my Sisters lawn.. it's more a case of taking the grass as part of the weeds/moss Her phillosophy is "given the choice of squirrels and a nice lawn, or a nice lawn and no squirrels, I'll take the squirrels thanks". I was hoping there may be a halfway house however ?
