I have a philidelphus which doesnt flower brian kidd the retired portsmouth gardener came to our club the other week suggested potash which ive put on the soil
all the weeds in my border are flowering they are bell flowers all down the stem and aqalegias so I am glad I never took them out
my grandson helped me bag up six sacks the montana clematis as it gets to heavy for the fence I hope it grows again
all the plants in tubs are growing I dont know what they all are I know some are lillies I havent seen any lilly of the flower is it to early

I'm glad your 'weeds' turned out to be flowers joysie21! It is early for lily flowers yet, some of mine are only just starting to push up out of the compost so I'd be patient, your montana clematis should grow back & flower again next year if you've just cut it back straight after it's flowered, I'd water the roots & maybe put a bit of compost around them to compensate them for the 'haircut'.

Sue thank you for the advice I bought two lilly of the valley plants yesterday at the W.I my first time there for a £1 we had a lot of rain last night and this morning which we needed so I will feed the clematis as well
