Lot of damage in the garden due to the storm last night and still high gusts today. It will all sort itself out over the next few weeks. I blame brexit

I've got a bit of a mess, and I think I've lost a few plants in the front lawn (the top of the bird bath fell on a few - it's really heavy and not supposed to be able to do that ) but our back garden is more sheltered. Think I need to keep an eye out for a better made bird bath. I blame the EU

Trees in pots keep blowing over, tall plants are now horizontal & I've had to retrieve a few trays of plants which have blown around the garden. I blame the wind - oops, pardon me!

A tree planted in a local Council community garden by infant schoolchildren in the mid 80's garden was felled (blame Storm Doris earlier this year.) My son was one of the original children who planted it and he is now 37. He said they also planted a time capsule under it. Suggesting to the volunteers who are now responsible for looking after this walled garden that we try to replace the tree and perhaps also try to recover the time capsule so that it can be updated.

My Choisya ternata split down the middle, so OH splinted the torn branch and I have my fingers crossed for its survival. I had flat lupins and delphiniums, and splayed out clumps of flowers - a real mess.

I've been lucky; no damage to the PolyTunnel. Boris the Bay Bush kept blowing over, but he doesn't seem too upset !
