Hi Would anyone on here be interested in giving help in a more longer term basis atal?
Iv recently moved and wow, gardens are amazing but i dont have a clue. I think iv already messed up.. but not sure how to add a pic on here?
Anyway, i was thinking messenger or maybe whatsapp so i could send pics/questions etc.. If you love gardening and honestly wouldn't mind me picking your brains please get in touch.

Hi angie81 , I wouldn't advise anyone to directly contact another member who is completely unknown & appears out of the blue but if you genuinely want help with your garden then you're welcome to post questions on the forum. It's quite easy to post photos on here, just click on 'Add an image', browse your computer/device, select your photo & click upload when the small image appears.

I've always grown them in just ordinary multi-purpose compost joysie21 & they've been fine. They like rich but well-drained soil so you could mix a bit of sand or grit into the compost as well if you want to.

JI composts being soil based are heavier and with a tallish plant like Amaryllis will help to stop it being top heavy and falling/blowing over.

There's so little compost needed to pot up an amaryllis though that I don't think it matters which you use, hopefully the pot wouldn't blow over indoors anyway! Some info on growing them here:- Growing Amaryllis
