Bit of a cheat here, I haven't been out to take any photos in the garden yet but I did take a pic. yesterday of the lovely bunch of roses I got from the 'rescue me' section in Tesco a couple of days ago - 53p - yes 53p!

They were very thirsty Eli - drank a full jug of water in a day but they look very pretty.

I should also add the miniature Fuchsia was a gift off a forum friend a number of years ago Do you still have yours Rosie ? And there were also a white petunia, a few lobelia and a few geraniums still hanging on in baskets/containers but that seemed to be cheating a bit

Your mistletoe has really come on hasn't it steve! I've still got a couple of schizostylis ( hesperanthas or whatever they're called now! ) hanging on here as well.

I think your hollies are beautiful SueA, if they were taller they'd get blown over or something

The hollies are really cute. Mum gave me 2 standard variegated hollies a few years ago, I think from Van Meuwen. I also thought they'd be bigger when I got them - I think plant company photos are a bit misleading! Mine are in the garden now, as I haven't got a suitable doorway here. This is about as exotic as my garden gets at the mo; My window boxes have a bit of a warmer microclimate going on, our front windows seem to lose heat and the wall catches heat from the sun, so cyclamen do well. My violas all just keep getting that black spotty fungal infection :/ I guess they just get too damp for too long in winter.
