Thank you for your best wishes. My birthday is either freezing cold or really hot depending on which country I am in.

I had lunch at Peppers in Nelly Bay, and then went for a 2 hr sunset cruise on a big yacht, called The Big Mama. Oh dear, this was a real balancing act from start to finish, but we had champagne and ‘nibbles’ (I hate that term for antipasti). The view of the Island from the sea was rewarding. I got wet up to my knees getting on and off the wee boat which took us out to the yacht.

Moira gave me a dinner party for a dozen people last Saturday, and this Saturday there are about 100 coming for another party. I don’t even know most of the people well, but parties here are attended by all.

Jeremy has made Korean food for our dinner.

Thank you all very much for my birthday wishes.

There were 100 people at my party and oysters and champagne kept coming the whole time. I think Moira must think this will be my last. However, I have only had one party before, when my WI friends gave me a surprise one 5 years ago. The Aquapella choir sang for me. They are going to Greece next year and want me to go, but I don’t want to.
