Only seen a couple of large moths so far and a cloud of male gnats dancing in the sunlight the other day. Now, how do you know that?..

Because I have an interest in natural history. Its the males that form the dancing clouds, the females (the biters) are always solitary. www.wildengland.com/gnat-winter

Saw 3 lovely small tortoiseshell butterflies today, two flying around & one looking a bit off colour sitting on the ground. Took photos of the two lively ones.

Really lovely phot, Sue I've seen a lot of ladybirds in my front garden over the past few days and todays warmth will keep bringing them out
