Just a little snippet. this month (January) we had two full moons, the second one known as a 'Blue Moon' However in February there won't be ANY full moons the next one being 2nd March

Anyone watch that programme about the moon last night (Wed.)? I was quite looking forward to it but was rather disappointed. More like a discourse on anthropology than astronomy and the presenter whoever she was, was unintelligible at least for me. Oh well, can't win 'em all I suppose.

yes I did, I agree it was very disappointing, such a shame, they could have made a really interesting programme about it, especially for those of us that aren't well up on astronomy, to be honest apart from great time lapse photography, I found it really boring

I saw the moon rising from the plane between Aberdeen and London. I didn’t know what it was at first. It looked like a huge factory fire. Fabulous colour and I have never seen this before. It was a red ochre colour, like the desert. Gorgeous.
